Company PR

Our company specializes in metal(mainly steel parts) heat treatment in all fields from “bulk thermal refine” to “surface treatment”. Our main customers include Mazda which is headquartered in Hiroshima, primary automobile parts manufacturers, and large-size construction machine manufacturers, and we appreciate their continued support. Since the foundation, we have been advancing along with the development of the automobile industry. We have received ISO9001 certification for all of our plants. While placing safety and environment above anything else and maintaining a good balance between technology, sales, and management, we will continue our effort to provide QCD (quality, cost, delivery) that satisfies customers and try to achieve a higher degree of strength and precision in our heat treatment components.

Technology Employed
Fabricated metal products manufacturing industry
With its high strength and ductility, ADI (austempered ductile iron) serves as a superb alternative to steel.
Fabricated metal products manufacturing industry
Austempering of steel parts causes fatigue and spring characteristics. Mass production of austempered steel parts has therefore been implemented.
Fabricated metal products manufacturing industry
Submerged high-frequency measure allowing the quenching of small bore inside, thin wall, and corners of small components without any deformation
Fabricated metal products manufacturing industry
Vacuum carburizing is the optimum method for deep carburizing of 1.2 mm or more. Cost reduction can be achieved through highly efficient production.
Fabricated metal products manufacturing industry
By eliminating oxygen via heating/cooling in a vacuum, heat treatment distortion & oxide layers can be reduced dramatically.
Fabricated metal products manufacturing industry
This gas nitrocarburizing gives the metal to be resistant to abrasion and fatigue by forming compound layers on the surface.
Fabricated metal products manufacturing industry
Hard shot peening makes the fatigue strength increase by colliding the higher-speed steel ball to the carburized surface.
Fabricated metal products manufacturing industry
This boron treatment, causing the metal to be resistant to heat and wear, makes both simultaneous and partial treatments with ADI available.
Plastic products manufacturing industry
Low-pressure injection molding technology to simultaneously mold and glue resin and porous urethane foam.
Fabricated metal products manufacturing industry
Non-oxidizing induction hardening which can eliminate the afterpolishing process for gear and endless screw
Primary Area of Technical Expertise

Provides value-added parts by employing all kinds of heat treatments and surface property improvements, sometimes combining these with other special treatments in order to achieve required properties for metal/machine parts. With 7 plants, including those in Aichi and Yamaguchi, Nagato can deliver high-level technology to local businesses with short delivery times.

Future Business Challenges
Development of wear-resistant aluminum alloy parts. Surface hardening technology for aluminum ,alloys.
Development of high-precision, high-strength noiseless gear. A combination of carburizing, induction hardening and ion-implantation.
Development of method for non-oxidizing induction hardening method with cost advantage and high productivity
Light-weight, high-strength plastic products for automobile battery trays, etc.
Future Technical Challenges
Fabricated metal products manufacturing industry
Special surface improvement technology including the use of ions, beams, etc. on specific machine parts/metal parts.
Fabricated metal products manufacturing industry
Development of method for non-oxidizing induction hardening method with cost advantage and high productivity
Fabricated metal products manufacturing industry
A consistent production system for high-strength, high-precision gears made of ADI (austempered ductile iron).
