Company PR
Ota Chuzo was founded in 1923. Our factory is a spacious building on a large plot, surrounded by nature. “Making products that meet with our customers’ satisfaction,” and “approaching new forms of creation with a spirit of challenge” are our policies for producing numerous high quality, high precision cast metal products. We’ve built a continuous production system covering design, model making, casting, heat treatment, painting, machining, sheet metal working, and plate working. The production capacity for cast iron products (from 1 kg to 12 tons) is 550 tons per month. As a new challenge, we have started working on the development and manufacture of bio-toilets. In 2004, we established two subsidiaries, “Japan Engineering Works Co., Ltd.” and “O-Cast Thai Co., Ltd.” in Thailand, and are now planning on strengthening the areas of business and machining.

Technology Employed
Steel industry
Accommodates multi-item small-lot production of pig-iron castings, and manufactures products weighing from 1 kg to 12 tons each.
Steel industry
Can manufacture high-grade cast iron, ductile cast iron, and low-alloy cast iron. Controls composition with emission spectrometer.
Steel industry
Accurately makes 0.7 m x 7.5 m and other slender castings.
Steel industry
Can make high-quality castings utilizing two 3-ton high-frequency induction furnaces and emission spectrometers.
Steel industry
Can ship after heat treatment and painting.
Steel industry
Uses welding repair techniques for castings.
Steel industry
Utilizing machining plant, machines castings and delivers product.
Steel industry
Can study the casting of sheet metal products and other ideas by our own design division.
Steel industry
Can machine large objects, using large 5-face cutting machine (3.5 m x 20 m).
Steel industry
Can assemble industrial machines.
Primary Area of Technical Expertise

Utilizing developed technical skills as well as the latest electric furnaces, emission spectrometers, heat process furnaces, and painting systems, we are capable of manufacturing high-quality large cast metal products. Pre-machining is also available for customers requesting finished products.

Future Business Challenges
Install large sand mixers and jolt molding machines to improve work efficiency, reduce delivery time, and improve quality.
Diversify and increase the number of machine tools in order to expand in the machining field.
Expand assembly areas and strengthen the company’s integrated system of design, raw materials, machining, and assembly.
Future Technical Challenges
Steel industry
Mechanization and automation of casting mold manufacture.
Steel industry
